Advancing Airspace Management and Autonomous Systems

AgentFly Technologies, headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, is a research and development company specializing in advanced software solutions for air traffic management (ATM) modeling and simulation, integration of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) into shared airspace, and automation of aerial work. Established in 2010, the company has its roots in research projects conducted at the Czech Technical University in Prague since 2005. Initial research, sponsored by the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and U.S. Navy, focused on the simulation of UAS teams. In 2009, the acquisition of hardware platforms (both fixed-wing and rotary) and deployment of AgentFly to these platforms began. The air traffic simulation branch was initiated under the sponsorship of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 2008 and extended through participation in SESAR 2020 and cooperation with the Czech Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP).

Core Competencies and Services

Air Traffic Management (ATM) Modeling and Simulation

AgentFly offers large-scale simulation of air traffic, encompassing physical and navigation environments, aircraft models, and cognitive models of air traffic controllers. These simulations enable what-if analyses, validation, and verification of new settings, tools, and concepts. Integration with human-in-the-loop systems provides a more realistic environment and responses to human operators.

Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Integration into Shared Airspace

The company develops advanced software tools and algorithms for UAS operators, regulators, and service providers. These solutions address unmanned traffic management (UTM) for very low-level operations, trajectory planning, geofencing, conflict detection and resolution, operation in controlled airspace, and interaction with air traffic control (ATC).

Tactical Operations for Military and Security

AgentFly provides complex systems for aerial protection of assets, intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and other tactical missions. These systems enhance the security of critical infrastructure, industrial complexes, warehouses, and more. They also support coordination and cooperation in heterogeneous teams (fixed-wing aircraft and VTOL) and autonomous operation in hostile environments.

Aerial Work Automation

Focusing on the automation of the entire aerial work processing chain, AgentFly offers solutions for 3D trajectory planning, data acquisition, multiple sensor data fusion, and post-processing. This automation leads to higher speed, precision, and repeatability compared to human-controlled UAS operations. Applications include precision agriculture, aerial mapping and 3D modeling, industrial inspection, and more.

Notable Projects and Developments

Gorgon X8 Tactical Drone

On May 28, 2025, at IDET 2025 in Brno, AgentFly unveiled the Gorgon X8, a heavy-lift unmanned aerial system designed for tactical logistics and precision strike missions. This modular, AI-enhanced octocopter UAS can carry payloads up to 12 kg, with an optimal operational load around 6 kg, and has a flight endurance of 30–40 minutes. The Gorgon X8 was showcased equipped with a stabilized EO/IR gimbal sensor for ISR operations and four PTAB 2.5 anti-tank submunitions, highlighting its capability to perform resupply, surveillance, and light strike roles.

AgentFly ATM Aircraft Simulation

In April 2025, AgentFly launched the “AgentFly ATM Aircraft” simulation at Airspace World 2025. This advanced simulation solution provides large-scale air traffic modeling, including physical and navigation environments, aircraft, and cognitive models of air traffic controllers. The system supports what-if analyses, validation, and verification of new settings, tools, and concepts, and integrates with human-in-the-loop systems for more realistic responses.
