Mistral Inc. and Uvision Inc. have been awarded a multi-year U.S. Army contract under an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) arrangement worth USD 982 million to supply, support, and sustain the HERO 120 loitering munition system, according to the companies.

In the arrangement, Mistral will act as the prime contractor overseeing system integration, program management, lethality packages, and long-term maintenance. Uvision, which designs the HERO family of loitering munitions, will contribute its proven air vehicle and munitions technologies under the agreement.

The HERO 120 is a mid-range loitering munition engineered for precision targeting of high-value or armored assets. It features a modular architecture and adaptable payloads, granting flexibility for both conventional and asymmetric engagements. The contract includes phases for production, training, fielding, and sustainment. Initial deliveries are expected to begin in early 2026.

Yoav Banai, Senior Vice President at Mistral, described the award as a pivotal moment in the firms’ collaboration with the U.S. Army, highlighting HERO 120’s blend of lethality, simplicity, and versatility as key attributes. Dr. Ran Gozali, CEO of Uvision Group, noted that the contract underscores rising demand for loitering munition solutions and affirms HERO 120’s operational value.

According to the announcement, the contract signals increasing emphasis by the U.S. Army on organic precision strike capabilities that can augment soldier-level tactical options. For Mistral and Uvision, the win may deepen their footprint in U.S. defense acquisition and bolster their reputations in advanced unmanned systems markets.
