Fleet Space Technologies has inaugurated its new global headquarters and space-tech manufacturing facility at Adelaide Airport’s Catalyst Park, marking a significant milestone in the company’s 10-year journey. The 5,300-square-meter facility is designed to enhance Australia’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, enabling the production of thousands of next-generation geophysical sensors and hundreds of satellites annually.

The new facility integrates various operations, including supply chain management, design, manufacturing, engineering, and research and development, within a state-of-the-art environment. This vertical integration aims to accelerate the development and deployment of space, climate, and AI-powered technologies essential for the next era of exploration on Earth and beyond.

Flavia Tata Nardini, CEO and Co-Founder of Fleet Space, emphasized that the company’s journey began with a vision to build next-generation exploration technologies powered by advances in space, agile geoscience, and AI. She expressed pride in the new headquarters and hyperfactory as a means to scale their global platform, ExoSphere, to fuel advancements in science, technology, and human exploration.

The facility will support the expansion of ExoSphere, Fleet Space’s AI-powered exploration platform, which is currently deployed by major mining and resource companies worldwide. Additionally, the new headquarters will facilitate the advancement of off-world missions, including the deployment of the lunar variant of ExoSphere technology, SPIDER, for Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 2, and the survey of the near-Earth asteroid Apophis during its close approach in 2029.

Matt Pearson, Co-Founder and Chief Exploration Officer, highlighted that the scale, speed, and capacity of the vertically integrated facility will equip explorers on Earth and beyond with the agile geoscience solutions needed to transition from insight to action more swiftly. This development is seen as a critical step in supporting the clean energy transition and future ambitions to establish permanent research stations beyond our planet.

The grand opening coincided with Fleet Space’s inaugural Horizon Global Summit, which brought together global leaders in space, resources, and technology to discuss the future of exploration. The summit featured notable figures such as explorer Tim Jarvis AM and representatives from organizations like BHP, Maaden, Koloma, Odyssey Space, F1 Academy, Robinson Aerospace, and Deadly Science. Discussions focused on key challenges and opportunities in exploration today and in the future.

The establishment of this new headquarters and manufacturing hub underscores Fleet Space’s commitment to advancing exploration technologies and solidifying Australia’s position as a leader in space and geoscience innovation.
