Redwire Corporation has been awarded a contract to deliver roll-out solar array systems for Axiom Space’s inaugural commercial space station module. According to the announcement, Redwire will design, manufacture, and integrate flexible solar arrays that will supply power to the new module in orbit.

The company emphasized that these solar arrays will support critical power requirements and enable the module’s long-duration operations. Redwire noted that its roll-out technology offers advantages in compact stowage during launch and efficient deployment once in space. The systems will be tailored to Axiom’s specifications and undergo rigorous testing to meet mission readiness standards.

In addition to system development, Redwire will collaborate with Axiom Space on integration efforts and performance validation. The agreement underscores Redwire’s role in advancing in-space infrastructure and supports Axiom’s goal of building a commercial orbital platform.
