Maritime Tactical Systems, Inc. (MARTAC) has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Taiwan’s National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) and Confucian Co., Ltd. According to MARTAC, the agreement is designed to strengthen co-development and manufacturing collaboration for the company’s unmanned surface vehicle (USV) systems in the Taiwanese market.

The MOU outlines joint initiatives including research and development, co-manufacturing, supply chain integration, and workforce training to support regional USV operations. MARTAC stated that the collaboration aims to bring advanced USV technologies to Taiwan while promoting local expertise and capability growth.

Bruce Hanson, CEO of MARTAC, highlighted that the partnership will foster innovation in unmanned maritime systems and accelerate the adoption of MARTAC’s industry-leading solutions. NCSIST President VAMD Shi-Chiang Li emphasized the strategic significance of the collaboration, noting the goal of producing high-performance USVs capable of autonomous navigation and flexible operational configurations.

The agreement lays the groundwork for future projects, investment opportunities, and detailed implementation plans, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing unmanned surface vehicle capabilities in Taiwan.
