The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has awarded framework contracts to four companies to supply and support nano-category uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), according to NSPA. The move aims to enhance intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities for NATO Allies and partners.

The U.S.-based Teal Drones (Red Cat Holdings, Inc.) will provide its Black Widow™ systems, while Etra Air from Spain will supply the adaptable AKILA MICRO XL platform. Skydio, in collaboration with Belgium’s COBBS BELUX BV, will deliver the autonomous X10D drone across Europe, and Aurea Avionics will contribute its Explorer UAS for ISR and dual-use missions.

NSPA noted that these contracts will streamline procurement, accelerate delivery, and provide full lifecycle support, ensuring allied forces have timely access to advanced nano-class drone technology.
