AutoNaut has been shortlisted for the Excellence in Ocean, Marine & Coastal Monitoring Technologies category at the Global Hydromet Excellence Awards, according to the company. The recognition highlights the impact of AutoNaut’s wave-powered, zero-carbon Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) in providing sustainable solutions for marine monitoring.

The awards celebrate advancements in hydrometeorology and oceanographic technology, and AutoNaut noted that its nomination reflects the increasing importance of efficient and environmentally friendly tools for oceanic data collection.

AutoNaut’s USVs rely entirely on renewable energy sources, including solar panels and wave motion, allowing them to operate for long durations without carbon emissions. The vessels are equipped with sensors to collect data for environmental monitoring, marine research, and offshore industry applications.

The company emphasized that this nomination demonstrates its commitment to advancing autonomous, sustainable marine monitoring technology while supporting research and preservation of the oceans.
