Shield AI, a U.S.-based defense technology company specializing in autonomous systems, has announced a formal Teaming Agreement with Taiwan’s Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) to enhance the nation’s defense capabilities. According to the announcement, the partnership is designed to support Taiwan’s aerospace industrial base while advancing local technological innovation through joint efforts in sustainment, training, and the integration of autonomous systems.

The companies mentioned that the agreement includes initiatives to ensure effective deployment and scaling of Shield AI’s products within Taiwan. AIDC will leverage its aerospace manufacturing expertise to adapt Shield AI’s autonomy systems, including the V-BAT aircraft, to meet Taiwan’s defense requirements.

Brandon Tseng, President and Co-founder of Shield AI, highlighted the collaboration as a major step toward strengthening Taiwan’s next-generation deterrence capabilities and accelerating the local drone and aerospace industry. AIDC’s representatives echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the partnership demonstrates the company’s ability to work with global innovators to reinforce Taiwan’s defense and deterrence.

According to the announcement, the partnership is expected to invigorate Taiwan’s drone and aerospace sectors. Shield AI will also present its technologies at the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE), allowing stakeholders to experience its solutions firsthand.
