Arquimea, a Spanish defense technology firm, has announced a strategic partnership with GDELS-Santa Bárbara Sistemas to integrate its Q-SLAM loitering munition systems into GDELS’s land platforms. According to the announcement, the collaboration was revealed at DSEI 2025 and is designed to enhance the operational capabilities of combat vehicles, enabling missions such as intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), attack operations, counter-drone tasks, and complex swarm deployments.

Arquimea mentioned that the Q-SLAM systems incorporate advanced artificial intelligence, enhancing situational awareness, enabling real-time data transmission, and supporting coordinated swarm operations. Integrating these systems into vehicles allows for direct launches of loitering munitions, improving both speed and safety in operations.

Alejandro Page, General Manager of GDELS-Santa Bárbara Sistemas, emphasized that embedding loitering systems in vehicles provides armed forces with a significant tactical advantage, increasing mobility and attack capabilities. Manuel Martín Flórez, General Manager of Defense at Arquimea, added that the collaboration marks a notable advancement in drone missions, boosting autonomy, speed, and operational efficiency.

According to Arquimea, the company’s industrial capacity and innovation capabilities allow production of over 1,000 Q-SLAM-40 units per month, reinforcing its leadership in loitering system technology. The announcement highlights that this partnership represents the growing trend of integrating advanced loitering munitions into land platforms to improve the effectiveness of modern military operations.
