Exosens, a French technology company specializing in imaging and detection solutions, has unveiled its latest product: the 5G image intensifier tube, aimed at enhancing night vision for military and defense applications. According to the company, the new tube delivers up to a 30% increase in overall performance, measured by the Figure of Merit (FOM), and can extend detection range by as much as 35% compared to standard intensifiers.

Exosens highlighted that these improvements result in sharper images, reduced visual noise, and better perception of textures, contrasts, and depth in low-light conditions. The enhancements are designed to reduce visual fatigue and cognitive strain for operators, thereby improving effectiveness during nighttime missions.

The company noted that the 5G tube has already secured orders for over 5,000 units ahead of its official launch, reflecting strong demand from armed forces. Jérôme Cerisier, CEO of Exosens, stated that the technology transforms darkness into a tactical advantage by providing clearer and more comfortable night vision, positioning Exosens as a key supplier to NATO members and allies.

Developed over several years with cutting-edge technologies and manufactured entirely in France, the 5G image intensifier tube underscores Exosens’s commitment to innovation and supporting the operational requirements of military forces worldwide.
