Picogrid has been awarded a $3.2 million program by the U.S. Air Force to advance the integration of unmanned systems, according to the company.
The contract will leverage Picogrid’s Legion platform, which unifies data from a wide range of sensors, drones, and robotic systems. The goal is to provide operators with a comprehensive, real-time operational picture, improving decision-making and interoperability across platforms.
According to Picogrid, the initiative addresses challenges associated with single-vendor systems and enables the rapid adoption of new autonomous technologies. The program also includes enhancements to Helios, Picogrid’s deployable hardware, to support scalable production and strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities.
Martin Slosarik, Co-Founder of Picogrid, highlighted that Legion’s unified data infrastructure ensures that military personnel can integrate new systems efficiently, increasing operational effectiveness across unmanned platforms.
The Air Force is inviting additional partners to participate in testing and deploying equipment under this program, with the application window set to close in December 2025.
