OpenWorks and Thales have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to integrate the TrueHunter Gimbal Sight into OpenWorks’ Vision Pace system, according to the companies. The partnership aims to advance multi-threat detection, recognition, tracking, and targeting capabilities across land and naval platforms.

Graham Beall, Chief Business Development Officer at OpenWorks, stated that combining Vision Pace with the TrueHunter sensor will broaden the operational applications of both technologies. He noted that the collaboration creates an optimized solution for ground- and mobile-based air defence (GBAD and M-SHORAD), expeditionary force protection, and naval operations, integrating Thales’ advanced sensor technology with OpenWorks’ next-generation tracking and targeting performance.

Stephen McCann, Managing Director of Thales’ UK optronics business, added that the partnership demonstrates a commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enhance situational awareness and mission effectiveness, even in demanding operational conditions. He emphasized that integrating TrueHunter with Vision Pace provides customers with a superior capability for detecting and responding to multiple threats.

The MoU reflects a strategic effort to combine high-performance sensor systems with cutting-edge targeting technology to support modern defense requirements.
