AEVEX Aerospace has named Brett Hush as Senior Vice President of Tactical Systems, according to the company. In his new role, Hush will lead strategic initiatives, product development, and growth efforts across AEVEX’s Tactical Systems portfolio. He is expected to work closely with engineering, programs, and business development teams to deliver advanced capabilities to defense customers.

The company mentioned that Hush brings over 20 years of leadership experience in unmanned and precision strike systems. Prior to joining AEVEX, he served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Loitering Munition Systems at AeroVironment, where he helped develop and scale the Switchblade family of systems for multiple military services. Earlier in his career, he held a leadership role at Teledyne Technologies as Vice President of the Controls Division, overseeing engineering, program execution, and military business development.

Roger Wells, President of AEVEX Aerospace, highlighted that Hush’s extensive experience and industry relationships will be vital for expanding the Tactical Systems business. Wells added that Hush’s proven ability to field unmanned systems aligns with the company’s focus on rapidly delivering reliable capabilities to the warfighter.

AEVEX’s Tactical Systems portfolio includes Group II–IV unmanned aircraft and multi-mission unmanned surface vehicles. The company has recently integrated new assets and intellectual property from RapidFlight to enhance its unmanned capabilities, including additive manufacturing and modular 3D-printed airframes.
