Advanced Navigation, a leading developer of assured positioning, navigation, and timing (APNT) systems, is expanding its global operations by establishing PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) Centers of Excellence in both the United States and Europe, starting with the UK. These new hubs are designed to support local production, engineering, servicing, and logistical needs for INS systems tailored to operate reliably in GPS-compromised environments.

This international rollout comes in response to escalating threats such as GPS jamming and spoofing, which are driving demand for systems resilient to electronic warfare. Grace Hynd, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that these Centers will enable Advanced Navigation to work more closely with regional defense and technology partners, building capability in allied nations while meeting the growing call for dependable navigation across complex operational settings.

The first Center’s location in the UK is being selected based on access to technical talent, strong logistics, and proximity to a major international airport. The UK site is expected to be confirmed by late 2025, with additional centers across Europe and the U.S. slated for announcement in early 2026.

Accelerated growth has already seen the company double its workforce over the past year, with further expansion anticipated—potentially doubling the team again within the next 12 months.

To bolster supply chain reliability and meet local security standards, Advanced Navigation will collaborate with regional specialists across various sensing technologies—including inertial optical gyroscopes and MEMS, vision-based systems, LiDAR, radar, and Doppler velocity loggers. This multi-sensor strategy underscores the company’s commitment to robust navigation even in environments where GPS is unavailable or degraded.

Beyond reinforcing NATO‘s operational resilience, these Centers of Excellence aim to simplify integration across land, sea, and air defense systems while reducing cost and implementation time. By embedding its capabilities within allied industrial and technology ecosystems, Advanced Navigation said it is positioning itself to lead the next wave of autonomous systems innovation worldwide.
