Forterra and Hiab have announced a strategic partnership to develop autonomous solutions for load handling operations.

According to Forterra, the collaboration will integrate its autonomous mission systems with Hiab’s automated load handling technology, aiming to improve safety, efficiency, and reduce operator workload. The initial focus will be on enhancing operations for cranes, hooklifts, and other traditionally human-controlled systems.

The company mentioned that the partnership is designed to explore long-term applications of autonomy throughout the logistics and load handling process, combining Forterra’s experience in autonomous platforms with Hiab’s expertise in automated load management.

Forterra emphasized that this initiative represents a significant step toward more autonomous, streamlined, and effective load handling operations in both commercial and industrial settings.
