Tiberius Aerospace has confirmed a new contract with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to advance the development of Sceptre, a liquid-fuelled 155mm ramjet-powered precision-guided artillery round. The announcement was made during the DSEI defence exhibition in the UK.

According to Tiberius Aerospace, Sceptre is designed to deliver extended-range firepower with improved accuracy, marking a major step forward in next-generation artillery systems. Since its unveiling in May 2025, the company stated that the munition has undergone rapid development, with multiple live-firing trials and digital test cycles helping to refine its capabilities.

Andy Baynes, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Tiberius Aerospace, highlighted that the early investment from the MoD demonstrates strong support for emerging defence technologies. He noted that the decision reflects the UK’s willingness to back innovative solutions, particularly those aligned with concepts such as “Defence-as-a-Service,” to reinforce national security.

Tiberius Aerospace also invited interested organisations to learn more about the project through its website and encouraged participation in its GRAIL Alliance, a collaborative initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of advanced defence technologies.
