Radionor Communications, a Norwegian defense firm specializing in electronic warfare-resistant communication technology, has opened a representative office in Ukraine. The move aims to enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities, particularly for drone operations.

According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence, Deputy Minister Valerii Churkin discussed expanded cooperation with Radionor CEO Raymond Søderholm. Radionor has been a long-time supplier of communication systems to Ukraine’s forces.

Søderholm emphasized the urgent need for robust communication systems for UAVs in Ukraine, stating that with Norwegian government support, more systems are expected to be delivered to improve drone effectiveness.

Churkin noted that a local office would facilitate product maintenance and training for Ukrainian personnel, ensuring optimal use of the technology. This follows other Norwegian defense companies, like Kongsberg, also establishing a presence in Ukraine to boost defense cooperation.
