Repkon, a leading Turkish technology firm, has announced a significant collaboration with Nammo, an international defense company headquartered in Norway. The agreement focuses on establishing a 155mm artillery ammunition filling facility in Denmark, a move aimed at revitalizing that nation’s domestic ammunition manufacturing capabilities.

According to a statement from Repkon, this strategic partnership extends beyond a mere technological exchange. It represents a crucial step in enhancing cooperation, fostering joint capability development, and improving supply chain security among NATO allies. The initiative is part of Denmark’s broader efforts to re-establish its national ammunition production, with Nammo playing a key role in this endeavor.

Repkon, which has stated its position as one of the few global companies capable of delivering complete, turnkey ammunition production and filling lines, will contribute Turkey’s engineering prowess and innovative manufacturing technologies to this international defense project. The company highlighted its indigenous designs, high-precision manufacturing infrastructure, and fully integrated solutions in ammunition production as reasons for its standing as a trusted partner in such collaborations.

The establishment of this facility is expected to significantly contribute to Denmark’s defense readiness and capacity. The new production line will enable the filling of 155mm artillery shells with various explosives, including TNT, IMX-101, and IMX-104. This development comes as European nations increasingly focus on strengthening their domestic defense industries and ensuring reliable access to critical munitions.
