Marduk Technologies recently demonstrated its advanced counter-drone capabilities during a series of trials on the Swedish island of Gotland. According to a news release from the company, the event served to validate the effectiveness of its electro-optical system, the Marduk Shark, in a demanding coastal environment.

The trials, referred to as the GUTE C-UAS trials, were designed to test counter-drone platforms in real-world scenarios. Marduk stated that its participation provided a crucial opportunity to showcase the Shark’s high-precision passive detection and targeting features. The system is engineered to identify and track unmanned aerial systems without emitting its own signals, a critical advantage for maintaining operational secrecy.

During the Gotland-based exercises, the company mentioned that the Marduk Shark platform successfully engaged a variety of drone threats. These included fast-moving First-Person View (FPV) drones, common consumer models, and military-grade unmanned systems. The release highlighted the system’s rapid slewing speed and advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, which enable precise tracking and classification of aerial objects.

The performance of the Marduk Shark in the maritime and coastal setting of Gotland was noted as a significant success. The company emphasized that the trials confirmed the system’s reliability and precision, reinforcing its position as a capable solution for modern air defense challenges.
