Defense technology company Dragoon has chosen Teledyne FLIR’s advanced Prism AI software suite to integrate into its cutting-edge drone prototypes under the company’s Project Artemis initiative, marking a significant step forward in autonomous defense capabilities.

According to Defence Review Asia, the decision to incorporate Prism software aims to improve onboard artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities for Dragoon’s tactical drones, enhancing situational awareness, threat detection, and decision-making in real-time operations.

As reported by Defence Industry Europe, the Prism software will be integrated into Project Artemis, a program focused on developing highly autonomous UAVs for military missions. These drone prototypes are being built with an emphasis on scalability, modular payloads, and robust AI-driven navigation systems, with Prism acting as the core component for sensor data processing and target recognition.

DroneLife mentioned that the integration of Teledyne FLIR’s technology provides Dragoon with a powerful edge in battlefield environments where rapid response and reliable intelligence are crucial. The Prism AI engine supports a wide range of electro-optical and infrared sensors, enabling enhanced object classification and tracking even in complex or low-visibility scenarios.

This partnership underscores a broader trend in defense innovation, where AI and autonomy are playing increasingly critical roles in next-generation warfare systems. Dragoon’s move to embed a sophisticated AI engine like Prism into its drone fleet reflects the growing demand for intelligent, adaptable unmanned platforms on the modern battlefield.
